Triple Flip Wild Rose athletes!

On Thursday April 01 2010, the Triple Flip Wild Rose International Women’s Gymnastics Invitational hosted a press conference in Edmonton, which was very well attended by the media! They were thrilled to meet some of the amazing athletes from Team Canada and Team China, who will be competing this weekend!

The press conference kicked off the highly anticipated event, which is set to take place this weekend, April 2-4, at Edmonton’s Expo Centre at Northlands. More than 500 gymnasts from all over the world will be there!

On Wednesday March 31st, we were honored to meet some of the athletes who will be competing in the Triple Flip Wild Rose Women’s International Gymnastics Invitational! They joined Triple Flip’s co-founder Linda Maslechko to demo some of their gravity-defying flips and stunts that will be on display THIS WEEKEND, Friday April  2 – Sunday April 4th! BT Edmonton was there to pre-tape the action, for it to air on Thursday’s episode. 

We were so proud to see the athletes sporting our new Triple Flip Limited Edition Bodysuits, available exclusively at the event this weekend! Feedback from the girls was that they loved the fashion and that they were super-comfortable! Who knows, these cool bodysuits may make their debut online and in-store at Triple Flip soon! 

Triple Flip is thrilled to be title sponsor of this event, which will showcase gymnastic athletes of all ages and levels from all over the world! And at the top level, members from Team Canada will compete against visiting gymnasts from Columbia, the US and Team China – including Olympic gold medal winner Deng Linlin!

Triple Flip Wild Rose, April 2-4!

You’re invited to experience the Triple Flip Wild Rose Women’s International Women’s Gymnastics Invitational in Edmonton!

We’re so excited that we are the official title sponsor of the Wild Rose Gymnastics Invitational Association from 2010 through 2012, leading up to the Summer Olympic Games! It’s going to be an amazing even like no other!

The highly anticipated 2010 Gymnastics Competition is set to take place April 2 – 4, at Edmonton’s Expo Centre at Northlands. More than 500 female gymnasts from around the world, including Team China, the 2008 Olympic Games gold winner, will showcase their gravity defying routines on all four apparatus (vault, bars, beam and floor) with Preliminaries for the Senior International Cup taking place on Saturday, April 3, and Finals held on Sunday, April 4.

“This year is an exciting one with Team China and Team Canada set to compete,” said Michel Arsenault, vice-president of the Triple Flip Wild Rose International Women’s Gymnastics Invitational. “It is truly rewarding to be able to host such a high-level competition here in Edmonton, and we encourage the community to come and see some of the world’s best perform here in our own backyard.”

This year, junior and senior-level gymnasts from Canada, China, the U.S., and U.K. will be attending, including the 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Deng Linlin from China, who will be joined by teammates Jiang Yuyuan and Sui Lu.

The Triple Flip Wild Rose International Women’s Gymnastics Invitational assembles the strongest field of female senior gymnasts in Canada and is the only event of its kind to provide gymnasts at all levels with the opportunity to gain international competitive experience, with the ultimate goal to see them compete in the 2012 or 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

The volunteer-driven Wild Rose event began with 15 sponsors and has grown to include 25 more, including the new three-year Triple Flip title sponsorship that maximizes synergies between Triple Flip and the Wild Rose Association, as both organizations share in the empowerment of girls to aspire to and achieve high standards for themselves.

The Wild Rose Gymnastics Invitational Association is also unique in its inclusive approach to allowing girls as young as six with opportunities to gain international competitive experience competing alongside elite gymnasts. After some discussion, it became clear that the shared values between Triple Flip and the association, in terms of empowering girls to aspire to and achieve high standards, was a perfect fit for a sponsorship deal.

As title sponsor, Triple Flip will see its name and logo on all marketing and event-related materials and as the official event supplier; Triple Flip will host an on-site pop-up store selling Triple Flip and event activewear and accessories.

With a focus on activewear, Triple Flip strongly supports girls to live healthy active lifestyles and provides them with clothing tailored to their individual sport and lifestyles. Triple Flip also has an exclusive Teamwear division that outfits 150 sports teams across Canada with 100 per cent made-in-Canada uniforms for sports such as skating, gymnastics and dance. Can you believe that the Easter Long Weekend is almost here? Recently, Ema came in to visit Triple Flip Deerfoot Meadows in Calgary, and the Team had a BLAST helping her find some fine new Flipwear!

Though she had a broken arm, that didn’t hold her back from flashing that gorgeous smile and strutting her stuff in our new Cha-Cha skirt and Limited Edition Peace Cap Sleeve! Looking totally Flip, Ema!!!

Flip Girls Erin and Lauren!

Twin sister’s and former Flipgirls Erin and Lauren were in the store getting treated by their Dad! They picked out two outfits that they plan to share…after all, they are the same size!

Erin loves gymnastics and cheerleading and Lauren is into skating and cheerleading. Both girls LOVE wearing Triple Flip because it is so comfy. They both loved the new Strappy Pants from the Reflection color story and also the Charcoal pant/jacket set because the fabric is REALLY SOFT! Chantal and Sarah had so much fun helping these bubbly girls! Thanks for coming in ladies!
