code of conduct
Hey no one likes rules, but sometimes they have to be laid out, to make sure everyone gets a fair shot at being heard and plays nice. Some of them are pretty obvious, but here are the details, in case there are any questions…
On flipgirl.ca, we take responsibility for our own words and reserve the right to restrict comments on our blog that do not meet our standards. In legal speak, it means you may not post any material that:
- copies, infringes or violates any copyright, trademark, service mark, patent, trade secret, confidentiality rights or other rights of any third party;
- is abusive, hateful, inflammatory, harmful, tortuous, or is racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
- is being used to harass, stalk or otherwise threaten a person;
- is libelous, knowingly false, defamatory or invades any privacy or publicity rights of Triple Flip or any third party;
- contains or promotes criminal activity.
We define and determine what is “unacceptable content” on a case-by-case basis, and our definitions are not limited to this list. If we delete a comment or link, we will do our best to say so and explain why.
Some things to keep in mind when posting:
Respect all around. Please respect the guidelines and Terms of Use for the site. That extends to other users and online community members, flipgirl.ca, Triple Flip Inc, and its employees.
Be responsible. Consider the impact of your words or actions on others. Personal attacks and flames will not be tolerated. If you want to criticize, try saying it with constructive feedback, so our online community can stay real, respectful, safe and fair.
Be yourself. We require commenters to register by supplying a username, password and a valid email address before they can post, though we allow commenters to identify themselves with an alias, rather than their real name.
Don’t try to sell your stuff. This site is wholly owned by Triple Flip Inc. Sorry, you can’t sell your stuff here. Commercial postings of content as a direct or indirect attempt to solicit customers will be removed.
Be a part of our community. If someone has posted unacceptable comments, copyrighted material or otherwise illegal material, please notify info@flipgirl.ca so that it can be removed.
We moderate all comments and blog postings, and reserve the right to pull any inappropriate submissions from the site at our discretion. If we find that a user is abusive or a frequent offender, Triple Flip reserves the right to cancel the account without any due notice.

If there’s anything not covered here, please let us know at info@flipgirl.ca. We’ll do our best to get back to you, hopefully sooner than later.
