Back in October, we held our first-ever Edmonton Flip Girl photo shoot! As always, the 24 names were randomly drawn from the hundreds who entered online. Our newest store wasn’t quite ‘photo shoot ready’ yet, so we invited some very special ladies to join us on location at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, Alberta, to share their fly flip moves! All the day long, music was going and girls were a-leaping, showing off Flipwear’s newest fly styles. The scene was one of total excitement and fun, as our lucky 24 got together for professional styling, time to shine in front of the photographer, and flip fashion chats.

A special shout out to Trudie Lee, our Alberta Flip Girl photographer. Trudie has shot our girls in Calgary for the past few years, and when she offered to come and do our inaugural Edmonton Photo Shoot at the Citadel Theatre, we jumped at the chance. This latest batch of edgy, location shots have brought a whole new interest to our posters that are up in Edmonton, and they will also be displayed in the Calgary store for the next few months. Our Edmonton flip girls were thrilled to see their shots! Trudie, you make us look good. Thank you for being so passionate about our brand.

And of course, much flip love to our tireless Triple Flip staffers who made this day so special for our Flip Girls!

Last March, we were thrilled to be asked by Breakfast Television Calgary to have a Flipwear fashion show for their viewers! Our Calgary stylists put together lots of fun looks and fab accessories for the runway. Triple Flip President Linda was on the scene chatting with then-host Tara McCool, about the comfort, style and fit of Flipwear that we all know and love – taking girls from the classroom to the studio to the streets!

A little while back, we got this totally great email from Taryn, who was so disappointed that she wouldn’t be in town to enter our Flip Girl Saskatoon photo shoot draw! Thanks Taryn, and we hope Mickey appreciated your sacrifice!

Why is Triple Flip so much money????

Thank you for emailing us at Triple Flip. 

 

We try really hard to make our prices as reasonable as possible.  The thing is, it is all about the fabric, the quality, the great fit, and the care that goes into each garment to ensure you have something you love. 

 

Our clothes nearly last forever! We have chosen the best quality fabric, and unfortunately, it isn’t the cheapest fabric. We set out to find the comfiest fabric that would feel great and never disappoint you. That means we don’t want it to shrink or pill or fade.  It has to meet our highest standards, so we put it through torture tests to make sure it feels and looks the same for you, every time you wear it. We turn down a lot of fabrics that just don’t make the cut!

 

The second part of the cost is the labor, and that is how much it costs to sew the clothes.  We don’t produce the clothes in places where they take advantage of people in poor living conditions to sew clothes very inexpensively. We ensure that the people who are sewing our clothes are paid a fair wage, and have a good lifestyle, so that we know that no one has been taken advantage of, just to produce our clothes. We want to be fair and ethical in everything we do, because that is important to who we are as a company.  

 

So, when you put on something from Triple Flip, you know that it’s a good thing.  You can count on us to always provide that.

In 2007, Triple Flip was extremely honored to be nominated for the Arc Awards, sponsored by Cadillac Fairview (big time commecial real estate guys, not the car company!). The contest promotes and celebrates Canadian entrepreneurs who deliver exciting new ideas in retail. Triple Flip was nationally recognized for “Outstanding Achievement in a New Retail Concept” at the 2007 ARC Awards Gala!
