Saturdays’ at Triple Flip are always filled with excitement and energetic customers, especially today in Saskatoon. We had a special birthday girl named Paulette hop in for a visit. Unfortunately, we did not have anything in her size so we gave her a sticker and wished her a fliptastic day!
The Princess Shop is an inspiring non-profit organization based out of Saskatoon, serving all of Saskatchewan, which offers less fortunate girls a chance for a truly memorable grad. By providing a dress, shoes, hair and makeup to someone who otherwise couldn’t afford it, they’re providing memories that will last a lifetime. But The Princess Shop’s goal is not just to be there for one night, they also have opportunities for mentorship, support and the tools to succeed after graduation. From their website, founders Chantal and Ainsley write…
“As young women, we understand what an important milestone high school graduation can, and should, be. This is a very special day for young women as they move on to the next phase of their lives and we believe that every young woman should have an opportunity to feel beautiful. It is our dream be a part of instilling self-confidence, drive and motivation in our province’s future leaders.”
Triple Flip is proud to support The Princess Shop’s second annual fundraiser, the Glass Slipper Benefit for Princesses, March 13, 2009 at TCU Place in Saskatoon. The event will feature this year’s Princesses modeling donated dresses, dinner, live and silent auction, guest speaker Miss Canada Galaxy Shannon Smadella as well as musical guests Jodi King and Cidne Treen. Last year, outstanding response and support from the community resulted in a sold-out, standing room only event and great financial contributions to assist with The Princess Shop’s operating budget. If you’ve been to Triple Flip lately, you’ve probably seen Kula Klips, the funky barrettes and headbands that are ever-changing with the season. But did you know that they are all handmade with love in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada? We so adore a home-grown success story!
The styles and colors reflect current trends and fashions. Besides everyday basics, Kula Klips also offers seasonal and limited edition designs. We like that the klips don’t grab or pull out your hair, but are specially designed to hold back even the finest or funkiest of locks.
Kula Klips have become the must-have HIP klips for girls. And they’ve hit the big time: The Gosselin Girls from TLC’s John and Kate + 8 have been wearing them on the hit show. Jennifer Garner and her daughter Violet are fans, and so is Matt Damon’s daughter Isabella – they’ve all been photographed wearing the clips, appearing in hip magazines like Life & Style and Tribute and on celebrity blogs.
