My baby is growing up… she is no longer the, “easily bribed with a lollipop” kind of kid.  Snuggling on the couch isn’t all that is needed to fix a bad day, and she has started washing her face, and moisturizing while imagining multiple ways to tame her chaotic curls.

As she grows we collect more novels and watch better movies together.  She has deeper secrets that are sometimes harder to unearth. And she is still beautiful… even though her beauty is changing from chubby toddler to a tween with a (not always good) attitude, a comedic sense of timing, and compassion for her friends.

A fab Flip Girl's design inspired a new Triple Flip Top, the Split Corset Top!

My name’s Jeanine, and I’m 13 years old. I love Triple Flip! I’m interested in fashion design, and I thought I’d take a whack at design some Flipwear myself. Attached is something I came up with while I was simply doodling in MS Paint. I’ve done a few different colour ideas using the colours found on the Triple Flip website. Anyways, It would be so cool if I could see this design come to life, because I know I’d totally buy it. I’ve also shown it to my friends, and they love it too. Let me know what you think!

We really loved Jeanine’s design!  While we weren’t able to implement it exactly as drawn, for some technical reasons, this design was the inspiration for a new style that we created and put into production at Triple Flip, the Split Corset Top, being modelled here!

The Princess Shop is an inspiring non-profit organization based out of Saskatoon, serving all of Saskatchewan, which offers less fortunate girls a chance for a truly memorable grad. By providing a dress, shoes, hair and makeup to someone who otherwise couldn’t afford it, they’re providing memories that will last a lifetime. But The Princess Shop’s goal is not just to be there for one night, they also have opportunities for mentorship, support and the tools to succeed after graduation. “As young women, we understand what an important milestone high school graduation can, and should, be. This is a very special day for young women as they move on to the next phase of their lives and we believe that every young woman should have an opportunity to feel beautiful. It is our dream be a part of instilling self-confidence, drive and motivation in our province’s future leaders.”

Triple Flip is proud to support The Princess Shop’s second annual fundraiser, the Glass Slipper Benefit for Princesses,  March 13, 2009 at TCU Place in Saskatoon.  The event will feature this year’s Princesses modeling donated dresses, dinner, live and silent auction, guest speaker Miss Canada Galaxy Shannon Smadella as well as musical guests Jodi King and Cidne Treen. Last year, outstanding response and support from the community resulted in a sold-out, standing room only event and great financial contributions to assist with The Princess Shop’s operating budget.
