On Thursday April 01 2010, the Triple Flip Wild Rose International Women’s Gymnastics Invitational hosted a press conference in Edmonton, which was very well attended by the media! They were thrilled to meet some of the amazing athletes from Team Canada and Team China, who will be competing this weekend!

The press conference kicked off the highly anticipated event, which is set to take place this weekend, April 2-4, at Edmonton’s Expo Centre at Northlands. More than 500 gymnasts from all over the world will be there!

Can you believe that the Easter Long Weekend is almost here? And while, for most people, that means cute bunnies hiding delicious chocolate treats (c’mon one or two cream eggs can’t hurt!), for us it also means that the weekend of the  Triple Flip Wild Rose International Women’s Gymnastic Invitational Competition is FINALLY almost here!

All of us at Triple Flip were SO excited to sign on as the Title Sponsor of this very prestigious event, taking place April 2 – 4 at the Expo Centre at Northlands in Edmonton. In the words of Triple Flip co-founder Linda Maslechko:

“Wild Rose Gymnastics is unique in its inclusive approach to providing girls of all ages with opportunities to gain international competitive experience right here in Canada. We quickly saw the shared values between our brand and the Wild Rose Association in terms of empowering girls to aspire to and achieve high standards for themselves!”

We’ve been hard at work putting together limited edition designs for t-shirts, bodysuits, and so much more to offer to the athletes and spectators at our Triple Flip Pop-Up Shop, a unique mini-store located on the floor of the event, open for 3 days only!

If you want to check out some amazing gymnastics, performed by all levels of athletes including some of the world’s most elite gymnasts, this is THE place to be! The Invitational will play host to some amazing competitors from Columbia, the U.S.A., members of Team Canada including Cynthia Lemieux-Guillemette and Charlotte Mackie, and Team China including Deng LinLin (2009 World Champion on beam and 2008 Olympic Gold medalist team member), Sui Lu (Bronze medalist on floor at the 2009 World Championships) and Jiang Yuyuan (2008 Olympic Gold medalist team member and assistant team captain)! Team China’s presence at the 2010 Triple Flip Wild Rose will mark the first time they compete on Canadian soil in more than 12 years !

On her birthday, Erica came in to visit the fab Triple Flip Deerfoot Meadows team, and she was the very first Calgary Flip Girl to try on our newest style of jacket, the Velocity! She looks smashing debuting this fun new style – look at that smile, a natural model!

That’s right, our fifth Triple Flip store is set to open in downtown Oakville, Ontario! We are THRILLED to bring our Flipwear for the Modern Girl to this gorgeous community, and will be opening our doors on Lakeshore Road East in November.
